May 4, 2011 — Caitlin and John have announced the end of their partnership. While Caitlin will search for a new partnership, John plans to examine his options, although he would like to ultimately remain in skating.
March 28, 2011 — Caitlin and John marked their World Championship debut with a sixth place finish at the 2011 World Championships in Moscow, Russia. It is the highest showing for an American pair in a non-post Olympics World Championship since 1997. Caitlin and John scored a personal best 175.94 points, following a personal best short program (58.76) and a personal best free skate (117.18).
February 18, 2011 — Caitlin and John settled for fourth place at the 2011 Four Continents Championship in Taipei City, Chinese Taipei, after popping an intended throw triple Salchow into a single during their fifth place free skate. The U.S. Champions finished with 166.97 overall, a season's high.
January 30, 2011 — Caitlin and John are the 2011 U.S. Champions following a first place short program and first place free skate at the 2011 U.S. Championships in Greensboro, N.C. The team will go on to compete at the 2011 Four Continents Championships and the World Championships later this season.
November 7, 2010 — Caitlin and John are Grand Prix medalists. At Cup of China, they won their first career Grand Prix medal, taking the bronze with 166.72 points, following a third place finish in both the short program and free skate.
October 24, 2010 — Caitlin and John finished fourth at the 2010 NHK Trophy in Nagoya, Japan, the opening event of the Grand Prix season. They were sixth in the short program but improved to third in the free program for 154.88 points overall, less than a point shy of the bronze medal.
January 28, 2010 — Caitlin and John finished fourth at the Four Continents Championship in Jeonju, Korea, with 157.49 points, less than a point off the podium. They were fourth in the short program but improved to third in the free skate.
January 17, 2010 — At the 2010 U.S. Championships in Spokane, Wash., Caitlin and John finished sixth overall with 164.83 points. They were second in the short program and sixth in the free skate. As a result, they were named to the Four Continents Championship team and will compete in Jeonju, Korea, Jan. 27-30.
November 21, 2009 — At Skate Canada in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, Caitlin and John finished seventh overall with 143.61 points. They were sixth in the short program and seventh in the free skate.
October 31, 2009 — Caitlin and John won the gold medal at the 2009 Ice Challenge in Graz, Austria, with 163.14 points. They were first in the short program with 58.19 and were the only pair to break 100 points in the free skate with 104.95.
September 27, 2009 — At the Pikes Peak Classic in Colorado Springs, Colo., Caitlin and John won the short program with 47.11 points, which ranked them first. They did not enter the free skate.
September 17, 2009 — U.S. Figure Skating has selected Caitlin and John to compete at a Senior B international this season in addition to Skate Canada, a Grand Prix competition. The pair will represent Team USA at the Ice Challenge, October 28-November 1, 2009, in Graz, Austria, before heading to Skate Canada, November 19-22 in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.
August 2, 2009 — Caitlin and John made their first apperance of the season at the Indy Challenge, a two-part competition that does not combine programs for a final score. The pair was fourth in the short program with a technical score of 30.30 points and a program components score of 23.15, which was 52.45 overall. In the free skate, they were seventh with 93.06 points, 49.25 for technical elements and 45.81 for program components.
May 30, 2009 — Caitlin and John were selected to compete at the sixth event on the 2009-10 Grand Prix of Figure Skating circuit. They will open their international season November 19-22, 2009, at Skate Canada in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.
May 12, 2009 — John and fellow pair skater Rockne Brubaker recently took Olympic track cyclist Michael Blatchford and Paralympic judo player Myles Porter, both who represented Team USA in Beijing, out on the ice at Colorado Springs' World Arena to learn the basics of figure skating . January 24, 2009 — Caitlin and John finished seventh at the U.S. Championships with 153.67 points. They were fourth in the short program (56.09) but problems with their side-by-side jumps put them in eighth in the free skate (97.58). Throughout the whole competition, Caitlin and John had no deductions for falls.
November 15, 2008 — Caitlin and John won the Midwestern Sectional Championships with 138.16 points. They were first in the short program (54.86) and second in the free skate (83.30). With their gold medal performance, they have qualified for the 2009 U.S. Championships in Cleveland, Ohio.
October 30, 2008 — The November 3 issue of Sports Illustrated features a picture of Caitlin and John performing a twist in their short program at last week's Skate America competition. The picture covers two entire pages of the magazine.
October 25, 2008 — Caitlin and John placed sixth in their Grand Prix debut this weekend at Skate America in Everett, Wash, with 141.70 points. They finished sixth in the short program (48.40) and sixth in their free skate (93.30), which included a triple twist, side by side triple toe-double toe combinations, side by side double Salchows, a throw triple Salchow and a throw triple loop.
