1. Are you planning on attempting the quad at the U.S. Championships in Spokane? I will not be attempting a quad at Nationals because at Cup of China I didn't attempt one and I ended up doing very well. My goal for this Nationals is to skate two clean programs with more transitions and expression.

2. What was the inspiration for your “Romeo and Juliet” free skate costume? The music is from the modern movie Romeo and Juliet. In the movie there are two inner city gangs feuding rather than two medieval families. The music has motorcycle sounds and a modern flair to it so we decided to go with a gangster look.

3. What is the last thought in your mind before your start your program? "Skate like you do every day in practice. I can do it!"

4. What has been your favorite competition this season? I really enjoyed the Campbells Cup this season. I had a great time with the team aspect of the competition.

5. Does your family travel with you to competitions? My family goes to most competitions that are in the US. My Mom has come with me on some of my internationals but not all of them. This year at Nationals I will have my parents as well as and Aunt, Uncle and Cousin watching.

6. Are any of the skaters you coach competing at Nationals? I don't teach very many skaters on my own so that I can focus on my own skating. Most of my coaching is with other coaches. I help Kylie Gleason sometimes. She won Easterns in senior ladies this year.

7. What kind of skates do you wear? I wear the old school Klingbeils. If you like something then why change?

8. Do you ever skate old programs in practice? Never!

9. What inspires you to keep skating everyday? I love practicing my jumps and nothing is more motivating than knowing you have a big competition coming up that is going to be televised.

10. Have you been following "Desperate Housewives" this season? I haven't missed an episode yet!
