1. When will you travel to China again? There is a Grand Prix in China so I hope to get to compete at that competition someday. I loved going there this past winter.

2. What was it like seeing yourself skate on national television for the first time? Seeing myself on TV was a dream come true. Ever since I was a little kid and I first started skating, I wanted to be on TV with Dick Button calling my program.

3. Was it really hard to land a double Axel? Yes, learning the double Axel was tough for me but not as tough as learning the triple.

4. Where would I be able to find your short program music? My short program music from last year was from Moulin Rouge. It is on the second CD that came out. The music is from the ending credits of the movie.

5. Will you be competing in the Midwesterns? Since I skate on the East Coast, I will not be at the Midwesterns. Also, a month ago, there was a rule change. The top 6 from the previous Nationals have a bye to the Nationals. I will not have to skate at Sectionals this year.

6. How did you enjoy your time in Dallas at Nationals? I had a fun time in Dallas this year. Nationals is always a fun competition because I know so many people!

7. Who, in your family, played tennis at Trinity University? My dad played at Trinity. My whole family plays tennis because of him. We all love it.

8. What are your goals for the future? My goals are to become a National Champion and an Olympian.

9. Why is skating your favorite sport? I love the feeling of skating. It is unlike anything else. I mainly love to work on my jumps though.

10. How do you like graph skates? I hate them! I tried them after the Four Continents and I lost my triple Axel totally. They also killed my feet. I am back in my good old Klingbeils!

11. What is "Italian water ice?" It is like a slurpee that you would get at a 7 Eleven but the juice is from real fruit and not soda.

12. Are you going to skate in the 2004 National Championships? Yes! I hope to skate well, too.

13. How can I meet you? If you come to my rink in Boston, you could probably meet me there! I am there 5 days a week training hard.

14. Have you ever skated on a tour? No, but I hope to be a part of Stars on Ice someday. I love performing and skating in front of an audience. If I want to get on any tour, I have to first place better in my amateur competitions.

15. Who is the most famous person you have met? Hmm... I met Mario Cuomo when he was the Governor of New York. I also met Apollo Anton Ohno, the Olympic short track speed skater, last month when I was in Colorado doing a Mother's Day television special.

16. Do you watch American Idol? I don't watch it religiously but I made sure to catch the episodes when there were just a few people justify. I really wanted Clay to win this last time. Oh well!

17. Do you know anyone else who has the name "Scott Smith?" Yes, there is a pair skater from the United States named Scott Smith. The United States Figure Skating Association gets us mixed up all of the time. I even went to the Sports Medicine Camp last year because of their mistake.
