I began skating at the age of five.

How did you begin skating?

I watched Kristi Yamaguchi on TV and she made me want to learn to skate. Then I told my parents I wanted to do a quadruple axel.

What kind of skates and blades do you wear?

Klingbiel skates and Paramount blades

Who designs your costumes?

My coach and I design my outfits.

What is your favorite thing about skating?

I like the excitement of competing.

What is the most defining moment in your career?

Relocating to a new city to further my skating career and competing at Nationals.

Do you have any pre-competition rituals?

I have a tendancy to talk a lot about random things.

Do you have any advice for young skaters who hope to make it to the national and international level one day?

Even if you’re sometimes not happy to be at the rink, you need to get yourself excited so you can make the most of your practice time.
