May 2010

Hi everyone. I know it has been a lifetime since I last did a journal entry, so let me fill you all in on what I have been up to. These last few months have been rather insane, in a good way, though I must say. I have been doing shows, including trips to Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Pittsburgh and more. I felt very privileged to be involved with some truly incredible shows and charity events. Among the charities were: Brooklyn Ice for inner city school kids; Aids Resource Foundation for Children; McKinney Shelter; Grady’s All Stars for Infantile Batten Disease and Skaters for Haiti. All in all, the trips were really a blast and I will carry incredible memories from all of them. Other recent shows I have participated in, or will be in the near future: Cleveland Skating Club Show, Winterhurst Club show, Wooster Skating Show, The Pond Ice Show and A More Beautiful You.

In addition to my shows, I am currently putting together my short and long programs for this season, which I will be choreographing! I am so excited!! I will be getting out in the summer to show off my new pieces.

Besides my skating, I have recently started my own daily blog series on my productions site, that I talk about some of my stories/experiences on my life in and outside of skating. I also have guest blogs once a week from elite skaters, athletes and other successful people. The purpose in me doing the blogs is to provide a unique perspective for skaters, athletes, coaches, parents and more by giving them inspiring stories that will hopefully benefit them(humor included). Lastly, anyone can send us their inspirational story or experience and we choose 1 per week to share with our readers.

Off the ice, I was cheering on my Cleveland Cavaliers and pulling for them to take home the trophy, but unfortunately, they are out of the playoffs now:( It was yet another disappointing finish for them and I just hope that LeBron decides to stay in Cleveland. I can’t help but root for someone like him to succeed seeing his passion and enthusiasm that he brings to the game of basketball. I know everyone is probably doubting him right now but he will REBOUND. And then everyone will be back on his bandwagon.

It really has been a hectic time for me of late, but I am looking forward to all of new projects, shows and more. It should be a real blast and I thank you all for having the patience to wait for me to do my journal entry! If you get a chance, please check out my new blog, as it shows a way different side of me that not a lot of you probably know about! And maybe it will have something that will inspire you to reach your dreams! Take care everyone and will write more often. I promise!
