Hello Everyone!

I'm sorry for not posting a journal entry in a very long time. Things have been quite busy, let me tell you about it…

I will start off with Nationals. I entered the 2001 State Farm Championships in the Junior level this year as one of the favorites for a medal. I was on hometown ice with many friends there to support me. This was a very important year for me and I had trained hard to make it special.

Unfortunately, things didn't go as planed. I lost focus and ended up executing many mistakes. I placed 6th in the Short, 7th in the long, and 7th overall.

As some of you may remember, I also placed 7th as a Junior. at the 2000 Nationals in Cleveland. This obviously told my coaches and I that something wasn't working.

Without delay however, I immediately returned home to prepare for the Bay State Skate that I was invited to skate in that upcoming weekend. I skated so well at the Bay State Skate and I got a standing ovation. This was so great to see, and also a great boost for my confidence level.

Everything, as you can see, was happening so quickly. Only more excitement was to follow. That very day I returned home, my coach and I decided to end our partnership.

At that point I had to think of what would be best for my training, my career, and my confidence. With these things in mind, I came to the decision to make the move to Colorado Springs, Colorado.

I am currently living in Denver and training in Colorado Springs. I now train under Diana Ronayne at the World Arena and at the Broadmoor Skating club. All of the skaters here have been very welcoming to me, and I thank them.

I am now starting to adjust to my very new and strenuous schedule. My focus now is on getting my show programs fixed up for when I go back home in March and in April to do the Wallace Figure Skating Club's and the Monadnock Figure Skating Club's annual Ice shows. I am very excited to go home and visit with my friends and family.

I thank everyone for their support, I wish you all the best of luck in everything you do! I will be posting a new journal after the two shows! Thanks again for visiting my site!

With love,

Nick
