Hello Everyone,

Thanks once again for coming to my site.

I recently just finished the season at the U.S. Championships in Spokane, Wash. I had a wonderful time in Spokane and had a great learning experience. Spokane had one of the most outrageous crowds I have ever seen at a Championship event in the past 10 years that I have competed there. They were not only loud and energetic, but they had a record attendance and numerous sold out events.

I had a great short program finishing in sixth place—just 1.5 points short from fourth. This short was certainly one of my all time best at a US Championships. I had for the first time made the live broadcast for the free skate and was definitely quite nervous.

Not only was I trying to have a great time and get everything out of this opportunity that I could, but I couldn't stop thinking "This place is sold out." Probably not the best thing you want to think before a free skate on National live television, with thousands watching! Not nearly the performance I wanted or had been training, but what a great experience. I can now say I am one of the big dogs!

I walked away from the event upset with letting it go, but also very eager to know I did make my name. I proved I was capable of being in that last warm up and both Kurt Browning, and Dick Button had nothing but great things to say about me. It made me really think of how next year I can come back and really make my mark. I am currently getting ready for some shows, breaking in new skates, and getting ready for programs and the new season.

I will have updates throughout the next few months so please keep checking back.

I thank everyone for your extended and wonderful support!

Nick

"The surgery went well and took care of the groin pain. I was able to start back skating and work up to the level I was hoping for before the surgery took place. I did a few shows and had made a few changes to my team and coaching." [READ MORE]

"In April I made the change of training locations, as well as a new coach. I am currently working with Burt Lancon at the Toyota Training Center in El Segundo, CA. Making this change was a very hard decision for me. For anyone who knows me personaly you will know that I was extremely close with my previous coach. She was one of my closest friends but I really had to do what was best for me." [READ MORE]

"
After Slovakia we focused on Sectionals. I pushed through the event and ended in 2nd. There were a lot of good things to come out of that competition but in my heart I just didn't feel that was my moment. I have been having a very serious medical condition this year, and have really been set back with my training time." [READ MORE]

"I opened the program with a triple Axel, triple toe combo. It was the first one I have ever done in an event. I heard the crowd start screaming and just kept thinking to myself one element at a time. I did that through out the program and before I knew it I had completed 7 triples, one triple-triple, and only one mistake, a single on my second triple Axel..."  [READ MORE]

"I didn't end in the place I wanted, but for all I was working with I'm happy with the outcome. My coaches and I got a lot of great feedback on my skating, my programs, and what my future has in hold for me. I need to just get better let my hip heal and come back stronger than ever..."  [READ MORE]
