what was the song jeremy abbott just skated to in the short program?

  • Kendall said:

Jeremy Abbott skated to a song from the movie Across the Universe. I think it’s a version of “Happiness is a Warm Gun”. If you watch the movie, it comes right after they finish singing “Happiness is a Warm Gun”, when Jude reads the paper in England and finds out the group that Lucy protests with caused that explosion. It was bugging me! I’m glad I figured it out!

What was the song that Weir just skated to during the short program? I believe he called it his “I love you and I hate you program” or something along those lines!

What’s the name of the Jimi Hendrix song Johnny skated to tonight?

  • Robert said:

@Mike – the Hendrix song was Axis Bold as Love

  • ColbyinCalifornia said:

Actually guys, the song Jeremy Abbott skated too was a Beatles song: A Day in the Life, performed by the master, Jeff Beck. The song was strangely ironic in its sadness as Jeremy skated so beautifully, but just couldn’t pull the trigger on 2 jumps. After the imperfect jump attempts, he was classic. And boy did he feel it after. He was crushed. Damn.

What was the music of the apresentation of Patrick Chan from Canada?

  • Jamie Blanchard (author) said:

Jeremy Abbott skated to the Beatles “A Day in the Life,” performed by Jeff Beck. Patrick Chan skated to “Tango de los Exilados”. Johnny Weir skated to “I Love You, I Hate You” by Raul DiBlasio, which was an arrangement done specifically for Weir’s program.
