January 31, 2010

Hey everyone,

I hope everyone was able to tune in and watch the 2010 AT&T US Figure Skating Championships in Spokane, WA on NBC....the crowd was as great as it was in 2007 and the skating went well for many, especially me!

I was really proud of myself for being able to skate well, knowing fully well that everyone had put out their best effort that night. I just went out there, took a breath, put a smile on my face, and let myself soak in the atmosphere. Being out there that night, I was able to forget about all the hardships that I had gone through the past year and just really enjoy myself.

This ongoing season, I have been continually working to put the pieces of the puzzle together, and each time I compete, I have been listening to all the feedback that I have been given, so that I will be able to get one step closer to a personal best. Thank you to everyone who has given me advice!

Even though I managed to pack all my wires and battery chargers for my camera, I somehow forgot to pack my camera, so I don't have very many pictures from Nationals, but I thought I'd include a few pictures from my phone...enjoy!

The Jay Leno Show

NBC
10 p.m. Eastern

Please watch Evan on the Jay Leno show!! I'm going to be there to watch him!!!

Did I also mention that Evan is the best training buddy ever? No matter how tired he is, he pushes himself to do his programs, so he can do it in any kind of situation. Watching him train is so motivating for me...I try to follow his example by doing programs with the intensity he has, but somehow my attempts just don't match his....Thank you Evan for always being there to give me a piece of advice and motivating me to do my best!

Also, a big big big thank you to Galina and Mr. Carroll for standing at the wall for me at Nationals and giving me the confidence to skate my best. The last minute tips are always the ones that linger the longest in my mind and my coaches knew what I needed to be reminded of...so thank you!

I know there's a big list of people I need to thank, but it's getting late now...I've got a big day tomorrow, so I'll save the list for next time!

Lastly, I just want to thank everyone for all their support...I appreciate everyone who has been cheering me on, through the good times and the bad!...Korekaramo yoroshiku onegaishimasu!
