JOURNAL April 8, 2011 Hello all! I thought that I should give you an update on my 2010 - 2011 season since its been awhile. I will try to do a better job keeping you guys posted. I am very proud of how I performed my short program at Nebelhorn, and my long program at Nationals. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way, that I should be able to put out two strong programs at a competition. Nebelhorn and Nationals were definitely my two favorite competitions of the season. Nebelhorn was my first senior international competition. The town was beautiful and I had so much fun there because I had the chance to travel with one of my closest friends, Taylor Toth who always manages to make me laugh. I also had a great time at Nationals because I was able to just drive down with my parents Lourdes and Big Al. It also was really excited that I was landing some triple axels on the official practices. This nationals was extra special for me because this was the first time my boyfriend, Nick Baroco was able to see me compete and I did a pretty decent job! As of right now, it is off season so I am just preparing for next season and performing in shows. Last month I was able to spend sometime in Colorado Springs with Nick and skate a little at the world arena. It was very inspiring and a good kick in the butt to see the world's top skaters Ryan Bradley, Patrick Chan, and Rachel Flatt train. After that week, I came back home to Delaware and skated. Then left for Boston to work with Tuffy Sweeney for my short program. This is my first time working with a new choreographer since 1998 when I first started working with Karen Ludington, so I was a little nervous because I didn't know what to expect. Fortunately I some how was able to keep up and I had a really good time working with her. I can't wait to come back for my long program. During this Boston trip I was able to see everyone at the Skating Club of Boston and two former competitors Brittney Rizo and Curran Oi. With all the competitions that we have done together we have all become really close and were able to pick up right where we left off, and of course had a blast. After Boston I drove to Glenn Falls New York for the 'Salute the Troops' show. I skated to a new short program, Tough Lover from the movie Burlesque and last year's program I Hope you Dance. This show was extra special for me because my boyfriend Nick has served for our country as a TACP in the US Air Force, and by doing this show it felt like I was doing something for him and for all those that have served for us. I have to thank Michelle Capron for putting together such a beautiful show, and letting me be a part of it. My next show is in New Jersey, One Step Closer, in order to raise money for children with Aids. Here I will be doing a live performance with KDrew and I hope to see you there! Finally I am currently working on a pair show program with the one and only Taylor Toth. This is my first time doing pairs and skating with another human being. Our show is this May and it's coming along! I'll keep you guys posted! That's a wrap. Love you all and thanks for reading!!!
