December 2009
Some sad news…Chloé broke her ankle while we were training on Friday, December 11th. This means that we will be unable to compete at the upcoming National Championships in Spokane. As you can imagine, we are both extremely disappointed that our season has had to end in such an unfortunate manner. We trained so hard this year and had been skating so well, which just adds to the immediate disappointment.
The good news is is that Chloé will not require surgery on her ankle as previously thought. She is currently in a hard cast and is expected to make a full recovery.
As for our future plans…we fully intend to compete next season. We both feel that we have worked so hard over the years and we do not want our careers to end this way. Chloé and I are confident that we will be back and stronger than before.
Chloé and I are currently in New York but we are planning to head back to Michigan in March to continue our training with Johnny and Adrienne. We are currently training with our long-time coach Adam Leib, and will be attending the National Pairs Camp in April.
