U.S. Figure Skating: Mirai Nagasu has been invited to compete at 2012 NHK Trophy, Nov. 26-28, in Miyagi, Japan, while Johnny Weir has withdrawn from this weekend’s 2012 Trophee Bompard in Paris.

Weir, who returned to competitive figure skating this fall for the first time since the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, last weekend withdrew from 2012 Rostelecom Cup (Moscow) prior to the free skate. He suffered a right hip injury during practice onsite and determined it was in his best interest to withdraw from Trophee Bompard. Weir is a two-time Olympian, three-time U.S. champion and the 2008 World bronze medalist.
