Holly 'on target' after 10 weeks off the ice

September 17, 2009 — Holly had surgery in June to repair an ankle injury that she sustained shortly before the Eastern Sectional Championships in November 2008. After the surgery, Holly spent 10 weeks off the ice rehabbing her foot and ankle. "Her recovery and rehab are right on target and training and conditioning have been going very well," her mother Cherise said. "Holly returned to the ice in late August. She is excited to be skating again and is looking forward to returning to competition in the near future."

Holly finishes sixth at sectionals

November 15, 2008 — Holly finished sixth overall at the Eastern Sectional Championships with 93.04 points. She was third in the short program and eighth in the free skate.

Holly finishes third at regionals

October 18, 2008 — Holly is headed to the Eastern Sectional Championships after winning the bronze medal at the South Atlantic Regional Championships.

Holly competes in Vancouver, British Columbia

August 17, 2008 — Over the weekend, Holly competed at her first international competition, the BC SummerSkate in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Skating in the second group of novice athletes, Holly finished second in the short program with 33.67 points and fourth in the free skate.

Holly makes U.S. Figure Skating's Developmental Team

February 29, 2008 — Based on her eighth place finish in the novice ladies event at the U.S. Championships, Holly was named to the U.S. Developmental International Team by U.S. Figure Skating. She will compete at an upcoming competition in Canada.

Holly placed eighth at the U.S. Championships

January 21, 2008 — Holly placed eighth at the U.S. Championships in St. Paul, Minn. In her first appearance at the event, she finished eighth in the short program with 31.72 points and seventh in the free skate with 63.77.

Holly wins Eastern Sectional Championships

November 15, 2007 — Holly is headed to the U.S. Championships in St. Paul, Minn., this January after winning the novice ladies gold medal at the Eastern Sectional Championship. She was the only competitor in her group to break the 100 point mark.
