Stephanie enrolled in skating school classes for freestyle at the age of seven, after watching skaters at the local mall's ice arena. After one of her classes she stayed to watch the next group, it was a dance class that caught her interest. She wanted to join the class but was told she was to young and would have to wait until she was nine years old.  It was an adult class and the director was afraid Stephanie would be ignored.  On her ninth Birthday she enrolled in the dance class and knew this was what she wanted to do.  She gave up freestyle the next year to focus on dance.

Stephanie credits her coaches, Marina Klimova, Sergei Ponomarenko, her first dance coach Jeannnie-Miley Grimson and her Mom as having the biggest impact on her skating. 

Stephanie's hobbies include, dancing, fashion/shopping, sketching and spending time with family and friends.  She has two older brothers, and will be an Aunt for the first time this October.  Stephanie is interested in acting and also going to design school.
