Eliot qualifies for nationals in Cleveland
November 15, 2008 — Eliot won the silver medal at the Midwestern Sectional Championships with 186.21 points. He was second in the short program (62.14) and the free skate (124.07). With his second place performances, he qualifies for the 2009 U.S. Championships in Cleveland, Ohio.
Eliot finishes second in short, free at regionals
October 14, 2008 — Eliot is headed to the Midwestern Sectional Championships. At the Upper Great Lakes Regional Championships, he won the silver medal with a score of 168.78 points. He finished second in the short program (56.78) and the free skate (112.00).
Eliot takes eighth at Junior Grand Prix France
August 31, 2008 — At Junior Grand Prix France in Courchevel, Eliot finished eighth over all with 155.50 points. He finished seventh in the short program with 54.05 and eighth in the free skate with 101.45.
Eliot to compete on the Junior Grand Prix circuit
June 12, 2008 — U.S. Figure Skating announced today that Eliot will represent the United States at a Junior Grand Prix event in late August, September or October. Information on the specific competition will be released by the USFS at least 30 days before the event.
Eliot takes 13th place at first senior nationals
January 27, 2008 — Eliot finished 11th in the free skate at the U.S. Championships. Along with his 17th place short program, the free helped secure him a 13th place overall finish in his first senior nationals. He earned 183.67 total points.
In the free skate (127.64), Eliot landed two double Axels, a triple flip, triple lutz and triple Salchow. He also triple lutz-triple toe combination, triple flip, triple loop-double toe-triple loop and triple flip-double toe with two Level 4 spins.
Eliot in 17th at nationals
January 25, 2008 — Eliot finished 17th in the short program at the U.S. Championships in his hometown of St. Paul, Minn., with 56.03 points. He completed a double Axel, a triple Lutz-triple toe combination, a triple flip and two Level 4 spins but fell on footwork at the end of his program, which earned him a mandatory one-point deduction.
Eliot to sign autographs during senior free dance
January 21, 2008 — During the senior free dance Saturday at the U.S. Championships, Eliot and six other Riedell wearing skaters will sign autographs for fans from 5-6:30 p.m. on the main concourse next to section 124. Photos will be provided but only one item per-person, per-skater can be autographed. |
