Eliot headed to the 2007 U.S. Championships
November 18, 2006 — Eliot qualified for the U.S. Championships in Spokane, Wash., by winning the junior men's title at the Midwestern Sectional Championships on Saturday. The nationals are January 21-28, 2007.
He finished first in the short program (65.65 points) and first in the free skate (113.23 points) to take the Sectional title with 178.88 overall points, which is 17.55 points ahead of his nearest competitor.
Eliot wins short program at Midwesterns
November 16, 2006 — At the Midwestern Sectional Championships in Pelham, Alabama, Eliot is in first place after the short program and has 65.65 points heading into the free skate. The top four finishers at Midwesterns will qualify for the 2007 U.S. Championships in Spokane, Wash.
Eliot wins the Regional Championship
October 22, 2006 — At the Upper Great Lakes Regional Championships, Eliot finished first in the junior men's event. He finished first in the short program (68.07) and free skate (109.31), with the highest technical and presentation scores in both, for 177.38 points overall.
Eliot wins bronze medal at JGP Netherlands
October 6, 2006 — After finishing fifth in the short program at the Junior Grand Prix event in The Hague, Netherlands, Eliot finished second in the free skate with 111.47 points. His overall score of 164.56 put him in third place overall.
Eliot less than one point out of medals at JGP Netherlands
October 5, 2006 — At the Junior Grand Prix event in The Hague, Netherlands, Eliot finished fifth in the short program with 53.09 points. He is only 6.72 points out of first, 4.39 points out of second and .76 points out of third place. Eliot will skate tomorrow in the free skate.
U.S. Figure Skating selects Eliot for second JGP
September 7, 2006 — Less than a week after Eliot won the bronze medal at his first Junior Grand Prix assignment, the U.S. Figure Skating has selected him for a second event. Eliot will skate at JGP Netherlands in The Hague, Netherlands, on October 5-8.
Eliot wins Budapest bronze medal
September 3, 2006 — In his first Junior Grand Prix event in Budapest, Hungary, Eliot finished first in the short program (59.91) and fourth in the free skate (99.75) to win the bronze medal with 159.66 points.
Eliot wins short program in JGP debut
September 2, 2006 — Eliot finished first in the short program at the Junior Grand Prix event in Budapest with a score of 59.91. He will perform in the free skate tomorrow.

U.S. Figure Skating selects Eliot for JGP
May 14, 2006 — U.S. Figure Skating selected Eliot to represent the United States on the Junior Grand Prix circuit during the 2006-2007 season. Eliot will compete at the JGP event in Budapest, Hungary, from Aug. 31 to Sept. 3rd. The competition, which marks Eliot's first international appearance as a junior, is the second of eight events in the series. |
