Meet Douglas Razzano Douglas Razzano of Chandler, Ariz., is a member of the Coyotes Skating Club of Arizona. He is seven time national competitor on the senior, junior, novice, intermediate and juvenile levels. He started skating at 9 years old after watching the 1998 Olympics on television. "I decided that skating looked fun, so I tried it and immediately started into private lessons," he said.
"My most prized possession is my 2004 Triglav Trophy gold medal," Razzano said. The Triglav Trophy in Jesenice, Slovenia, was the first of 13 major competitions where he competed in the junior men's event. Razzano also placed sixth at 2005 Junior Grand Prix Slovakia, seventh at 2006 Junior Grand Prix Czech Republic, fourth at 2007 Junior Grand Prix Estonia, second at 2007 Junior Grand Prix Great Britain and fourth at the 2007 Junior Grand Prix Final. His favorite part about skating is "the feeling after skating well at competitions." (More) |
