When Caydee Denney and Jeremy Barrett took the ice for the short program at the 2009 U.S. Championships in Cleveland, most of the crowd had never heard of the pair, which had partnered in June after a brief stint in 2006. But no one in the building could forget Caydee and Jeremy after the Floridians handed in the best short program of the competition.

Two nights later, Caydee and Jeremy won the silver medal, booking a trip to the Four Continents Championships, where they finished sixth in the same venue that will host the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, and making the World Championship team. Caydee and Jeremy were the highest ranked American pair at Worlds, placing ninth.

With a solid 2009 behind them, including a fourth place finish at NHK Trophy and a fifth place showing at Skate Canada, their first career Grand Prix events, Caydee and Jeremy won the 2010 U.S. Championship. They made their Olympic debut at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, finishing 13th. Caydee and Jeremy followed the Olympics with a seventh place showing at the 2010 World Championships, setting personal bests in all three marks.

Caydee and Jeremy train in Coral Springs, Fla., with John Zimmerman and Silvia Fontana at the Saveology Iceplex. They are members of the Panthers Figure Skating Club. Previously, they trained at the Southwest Florida Figure Skating Club with coaches Jim Peterson, Alison Smith and Lyndon Johnston.
