![]() Five year old Christine sat on her family room floor watching the 1994 Olympic Figure Skating competition when she excitedly turned to her mother and proclaimed, “I can do that”. Since then, Christine has fallen in love with the sport. Christine began her training at the Face Off Circle Ice Rink in Warminster, Pennsylvania and then moved on to the Wissahickon Ice Rink. She now trains before and after school at the University of Delaware training facility. She is coached by Jeff DiGregorio. Christine has been competing since the age of seven and has won numerous medals, including most recently the Gold Medal for winning the 2004 United States Ladies Novice National Figure Skating Championship and the 2001 United States Ladies Juvenile National Figure Skating Championship. She hit her first triple-triple combination jump during the 2004 Liberty Open Preliminary and Free Skate Finals (7/16/04), in which she won both events. Even more than winning medals, Christine likes to travel and meet and make friends with her competitors. Competitions have taken her too many places, including Italy, China, Andorra, Croatia, Lake Placid, Chicago, Georgia, Virginia, Oregon, New York City and Denver, Colorado. Christine hopes one day she will have the opportunity to skate in the Olympics. Christine is a junior at Newark High School in Newark, Delaware. Despite her busy schedule, she is an Honor Roll student. Christine loves animals and hopes one day to become a Zoologist or Veterinarian. When Christine is not skating, she likes to go to the movies and play softball.
