Thank you for visiting our official Web site, Marissa Castelli and Simon Shnapir Online.
In our first season together, we qualified for the 2007 U.S. Championships, where we were 10th in novice pairs. We made our international debut in fall 2007 and then won our first national medal in 2008 as novices.
After winning the bronze medal at the 2009 World Junior Championships, we made our senior debut on the international and national level, placing seventh at 2009 Trophee Eric Bompard, 10th at the 2010 U.S. Championships and 10th at Four Continents.
We were fifth overall at the U.S. Championships in 2011 and 2012 and are currently enjoying our best season together so far. After placing fifth at Skate America in October 2012, we won our first senior international gold medal at Ice Challenge in Graz, Austria, followed by our first Grand Prix medal (bronze), at NHK Trophy in Miyagi, Japan.
On Jan. 26, 2013, we won the gold medal at the 2013 U.S. Championships, marking our first senior medal at nationals. We will compete next the Four Continents Championships and then make our debut at worlds. We're excited to take these experiences, continue improving and working toward achieving our goals for the rest of the 2012-13 season and beyond!
