Hey everyone! Welcome to our website!

Thank you for visiting our official website! We are Meg Byrne and Nate Bartholomay and we are honored to have this site dedicated to us!

I am Nate and  I’d like to tell you a little bit more about us.

I’ll start with how we got together.

I used to only skate singles and the thought of pairs had never crossed my mind. One day, my coach came to me to let me know that two girls in the area were looking for partners and wanted to know if I would try out with them. I didn’t know the first thing about pairs but it sounded like fun.

Meg was the first girl I tried out with. Our coaches felt that we looked pretty good together so we decided to give it a shot! Meg and I had never met before, but our coaches both taught the same technique so our elements matched. 

A little over a year after we first began skating together, (and a lot of hard work), we won the U.S. Juvenile Pairs title, it was very exciting. Then the following year we won the US Intermediate Pairs title as well. Last January, we were once again privileged to medal at Nationals. This time we took the Pewter Medal in the Novice Pairs event.  We feel very blessed to have had so much success in the past 4 years.

I think a lot about how lucky I am to have Meg as a partner. Each season we train together I feel like we improve so much, and become more in tune with each other.

We are both so excited about the up coming season and have been working very hard since Nationals to improve as much as we possibly can. We have been very busy learning new programs and working on harder elements for the new season.

Well I hope that you have enjoyed hearing a little about us, I will update our journal soon! Our next competition is North American Challenge Skate (NACS) in Pittsburg! After the event I will update our journal with the results and fill you in on how it goes! We hope to see you there!
