June 5, 2011 Hey Everyone! I hope 2011 has been a great year for you so far as we head into summer. Last year was really fun learning pairs skating and starting college. Competing at the U.S. Championships in the Championship Pairs event was so rewarding after working so hard on all of the new skills, tests and training. This year, I will be solely focusing on singles skating and still attending college at the University of Michigan. My first event will be at Skate Detroit this July. I love my new programs and music this year and they were choreographed by Marina Zoueva and Fedor Andreev. I have been training at the Detroit Skating Club with my coaches Yuka Sato and Jason Dungjen, who have been very supportive and inspiring. I also train part of the time in Canton, MI. It has been wonderful getting to train with so many wonderfully talented and hard working athletes and am very excited for this year! When I'm not skating, I spend a lot of time with my studies at the UM library. I also enjoy cycling around Ann Arbor, yoga, and cooking with friends. I am honored to be serving a third year with the U.S. Figure Skating's Athletes Advisory Committee (ACC) and enjoy following the sport progress and new changes.
