October 1, 2007
Hey everyone! I'm sorry that I
haven't written in a while, I've been really busy. I just finished up a
great summer, placing second at Liberty, and winning Challenge Cup.
Besides skating, I also traveled to Barbados for my parents’
anniversary. It was amazing! Austin and I had fun lounging around and
body surfing. After that, I went back home to Washington State where I
got to spend some time with my relatives. I was surprised at how much my
teensy cousins had grown! Now I'm starting my junior year in high
school, and I have been stacked with homework. It's really great
though, because everyone around me is so supportive of my skating that
it makes everything more manageable.
On October 14th I am
participating in the Stars Stripes and Skates show at the Nassau
Coliseum in New York. It benefits the Heritage Foundation of 9/11. The
Heritage Foundation teaches children the value of patriotism, heroism
and volunteerism. This will be a special event for me as my Dad was at
the Pentagon on September 11, 2001.
My grand prix assignments are coming
up, and I am stoked. It should be an amazing experience. Well, I have
tons of homework to do but I will write back as soon as I can and keep
you posted!
Love,
Ashley
