Meet Alexander Johnson

Alexander Johnson is one of figure skating's rising stars.

In January 2009 at the U.S. Championships in Cleveland, Alex won the bronze medal in the junior men's competition. He he landed six triple jumps and earned a level four on all of his spins in his first place free skate.

The bronze medal capped off an impressive junior campaign for the Minnetonka, Minn., native. He started the season with a gold medal at Junior Grand Prix Czech Republic and added a bronze with a strong skate in Great Britain.

The medals qualified him for the Junior Grand Prix Final, where he was sixth.

"I would say the most defining moment in my career would be qualifying for the 2008 JGP Final in Goyang City, South Korea," Alex said. "Going into this past season, it was one of my top goals to make it there so when I finally qualified, it felt so rewarding to know that all the hard work and energy I had put into making it there had paid off."

He made his senior national and international debuts in the 2009-10 season.
