Douglas Razzano had two goals heading into the season. The first was to "have a strong international season" and the second was to "make a strong senior debut" at the 2008 U.S. Championships in St. Paul, he said. Razzano accomplished his first goal with three solid performances on the Junior Grand Prix circuit. The Scottsdale, Ariz., based skater finished fourth in Estonia, won the silver medal in Great Britain and placed fourth at the Junior Grand Prix Final, where he landed a triple Axel-triple toe combination. It was his most successful outing in three seasons skating in the series. Now, it's on to the second goal. Razzano is making his senior debut to the music of the Warsaw Concerto for his short program and Tosca for his free skate both choreographed by Doug Ladret and Grant Rorvick. Last season, he used the Warsaw Concerto for his free skate, and earned a fifth place standing in the junior men's competition at the U.S. Championships. He previously finished 12th in 2006 junior men's, fourth in 2005 junior men's and fifth in 2004 novice men's. "My most prized possession is my 2004 Triglav Trophy gold medal," he said. But he also added that the most defining moment of his career was winning the junior men’s pewter at the 2005 U.S. Championships.
